Whether you are a bride-to-be, going out on the town with your girls, or you want a signature look, a red lip is ALWAYS an option. The key to the perfect red lip is finding the right shade for your complexion, and the right formula for you. For example, if you have very fair skin with pink undertones a beautiful cherry red color that has a blue base will look amazing on you. However, a deep wine also looks amazing on those with fair skin. Orange based reds look amazing on those of you with olive skin. Deeper skin tones look great with wine colors and intense reds lip a blue base. Red lip colors can range from bright cherry reds to orange tones and even deep maroon, berry colors.
Formulas for both lipstick and lip gloss, as well as stains, will vary greatly. If you aren't at all concerned about your lip color rubbing off onto something or someone then a lipstick will work. For those of you who aren't particular about the way lipstick feels, try a gloss in a wonderful red shade. For you brides, or those who will be going out and don't want your lip color to end up on everything and everyone, lip stains are perfect! My favorite red lipsticks are MAC Lady Danger and Make Up For Ever's N44 Diamond Red.
